Green Wednesday 2026 in NYC: What to Know and Where to Shop

Published October 2, 2026 · Lenox Hill Cannabis Co. · 334 E. 73rd St, NYC

Green Wednesday 2026 falls on Wednesday, November 25, the day before Thanksgiving. It has become one of the busiest cannabis shopping days of the year, and on the Upper East Side the rush starts early. Here is everything you need to know to plan ahead, plus where to find our live specials right now.

When Is Green Wednesday 2026?

Green Wednesday is always the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. In 2026 that is Wednesday, November 25, with Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 26. Next year it lands on Wednesday, November 24, 2027.

The name is a nod to Black Friday. The night before Thanksgiving is when people head home for the long weekend, friends gather for Friendsgiving, and a lot of New Yorkers stock up before stores close for the holiday. For licensed dispensaries across the country, it has grown into one of the biggest sales days on the calendar, often rivaling 4/20.

Mark your calendar: Green Wednesday 2026 is Wednesday, November 25. Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 26. Black Friday is November 27.

Green Wednesday falls on a regular weekday for us, and our usual Wednesday hours are 10am to 10pm at 334 E. 73rd St. Any holiday changes for Green Wednesday and Thanksgiving Day will be posted right here in November, so check back before you head out.

Same-day delivery runs across the Upper East Side, Yorkville, Carnegie Hill and nearby Manhattan neighborhoods. Confirm your address on our service area page before you build your cart.

How to Shop Green Wednesday Without the Wait

The busiest stretch on Green Wednesday is usually late afternoon into the evening, when people are leaving work and heading to dinner or the train. A little planning keeps your order quick.

  • Order ahead online. Build your cart on our live menu and choose express pickup or a delivery window. You skip the line and your order is ready when you arrive.
  • Shop in the morning. If you are coming in person, earlier in the day is calmer, and the full menu is still in stock.
  • Bring your ID. You must be 21 or older with a valid, government-issued photo ID for pickup, in-store purchases and delivery.
  • Know the limits. Adults 21 and older can buy up to three ounces of flower or twenty-four grams of concentrate per day in New York, which is far more than a holiday weekend needs.
  • Sign up for rewards before the day. Rewards members hear about our holiday offers by email, so join early rather than at the register.

Thanksgiving Weekend Picks

Thanksgiving weekend in the city means long dinners, family time, a parade, and a lot of couch hours. A few formats fit the long weekend especially well.

  • Low-dose edibles for gatherings. Pre-measured 2mg to 5mg gummies let guests pace themselves through a long meal. Keep them clearly labeled and away from the dessert table.
  • THC drinks for the toast. A low-dose seltzer is an easy, alcohol-free swap when you are hosting Friendsgiving or just want a clear head for Black Friday.
  • Pre-rolls to share. No grinding, no prep, ready for the after-dinner walk home or a quiet night in.
  • A calming flower for the wind-down. An indica-leaning strain suits the sleepy hours after the big meal.

Edibles can take up to two hours to peak, so start low and wait before taking more, especially if you have had a glass of wine with dinner. Hosting? Our guide to hosting a cannabis dinner party covers dosing and etiquette for a table full of guests.

Traveling for Thanksgiving?

If you are leaving the city for the holiday, plan around the rules. Cannabis cannot be taken across state lines, even to New Jersey or Connecticut where it is also legal, and airports fall under federal rules. Buy what you will use here in New York, and keep consumption inside a private residence, never on the sidewalk, in a park, or on the train. Never drive after consuming cannabis.

Staying in town? Green Wednesday also kicks off holiday shopping season. Our Manhattan holiday gift guide rounds up the best cannabis gifts by budget and personality, all available for same-day delivery.
